The Lifting of Restrictions

Dear Saint Veronica Parishioners,

As of  May 29, masks are no longer required for vaccinated people in the State of Massachusetts.  The State does advise that non-vaccinated people continue to wear masks."  The Archdiocese has announced the lifting of many restrictions to begin at the same time.

We will take it slow here at St. Veronica.  For example, the ropes on the pews will remain for the foreseeable future.

The priests, deacons and Eucharistic ministers will continue to wear masks while distributing Holy Communion for your safety.

The dispensation from the obligation for coming to Sunday Mass has not yet been lifted, and even when it is, if a parishioner is feeling ill they should remain at home.

It is understood that different people will be ready to take off their masks and sit near one another at different times.  Some people who are comfortable dropping social distancing may not yet be comfortable taking off their masks. You are free to continue to wear masks as long as you like.

We will continue to live-stream our Saturday Vigil Masses.

There are many heroes among our volunteers that have kept our parishes going during these difficult times. Please know how grateful I am to all of you.

Thank you for staying the course.

Let us pray for each other.  God bless,

Father Mahoney
