Religious education for our students in grade 8 primarily focuses on preparing them for reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation in the spring. Students will have the option to attend a Wednesday afternoon session (2:15pm-3:30pm) or a Monday night session (7:00-8:15pm). The program also includes a day retreat experience and  participation in 10 Practical Formation Hours. Practical formation hours can include community service, however students will also have the option of completing some of their hours through events geared toward allowing them to experience aspects of the Christian Life.

Additionally, and most importantly, attending Mass every weekend and on Holy Days of Obligation is expected, as the Eucharist is the source and summit of Christian Life. Families in our program should be dedicated to this vital practice of our Catholic faith.

It is our hope that the various aspects of the program together will give students a variety of knowledge,  experience, and opportunities to receive grace that will enable them to effectively live out the Christian Life on their journey to Heaven.

We are looking for volunteers to teach Grade 8 as well as hall  monitors! Program offerings are contingent upon catechist volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, contact Camille Mainardi  cmainardi@stveronicaparish.org.
