Religious education for our high school students in grades 8 and 9 primarily focuses on preparing them for reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation in the spring. Students will have the option to attend a Wednesday afternoon session (2:15pm-3:30pm) or a Monday night session (7:00-8:15pm). The program also includes a day retreat experience and  participation in 10 Practical Formation Hours. Practical formation hours can include community service, however students will

also have the option of completing some of their hours through events geared toward allowing them to experience aspects of the Christian Life.

Additionally, and most importantly, attending Mass every weekend and on Holy Days of

Obligation is expected, as the Eucharist is the source and summit of Christian Life. Students will receive a personalized QR code to scan in order to check in. Please note that the QR Code is not connected to the internet in any way. When a student scans their code, it merely submits their name to an electronic list which is only accessible to the staff.

It is our hope that the various aspects of the program together will give students a variety of knowledge,  experience, and opportunities to receive grace that will enable them to effectively live out the Christian Life on their journey to Heaven.
